On 11 October Professor Duncan Matthews spoke at the Jagiellonian University Intellectual Property Law Institute in Kraków, Poland, on the EU Unitary Patent Package: Prospects for the Future. The event was attended by key members of the Polish patent profession and dealt with Poland’s decision to opt out of the EU Package, citing concerns that the new Unitary Patent would harm its economy.
